The Conference is Over, but the Challenge is not [Soylent Blogrimage 18/30]
I'm continuing to lose weight and people are complimenting my looks. One of our interns at the church said my belly is gone. Another girl at Momentum said that my face doesn't look bloated. Haha. Weight loss isn't the goal, but it's a nice benefit.
The last two days were written on my phone, so the quality suffered. I went to a ministry leadership conference at Resurrection Life in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Lots of leaders asked me about my challenge. It's very funny to explain it. Not everyone gets it. I honestly would do it if only I knew about it. But that's why I had to write on my phone.
Something about challenging yourself and creating stories invigorates me. Though I long for food, I love that I'm in the midst of an adventure. When I'm 90 years old, I hope to have at least 90 30 day challenge stories. Old people with countless stores, adventures, victories and tales are amazing. I pray I will be one.

Surrounded by Great Food [Soylent Blogrimage 17/30]
I'm at a Pastor's conference and there are incredible things to eat everywhere! I paid to go to a luncheon and couldn't eat. People are asking me all the time why I won't join the meal and why I am staring at them.

People are asking me all the time why I won't join the meal and why I am staring at them. People feel bad for me but I love this challenge. I love painful challenges. I love the adventure. Knowing what I know now, I'd still want to do this challenge. In the future I will do more. As of now, yes, I want to eat the great food at this conference but I want great stories and adventure more.
*I'm writing these on my phone while at the conference.
FEELINGS:
- Wanting to eat food
- Hate the smell of Soylent
- Wishing I could enjoy the conference desserts
So close to failing the challenge [Soylent Blogrimage 16/30]
I almost are a cherry at BDubs! I'm at a leadership conference and ordered a Shirley temple and out of habit started chewing the cherry. It felt strange and then I realized the challenge! Then, I spit it out. Close call.

I am Officially Half Way Through this Foodless Life [Soylent Blogrimage 15/30]
Soylent, like I've said before, is very inconvenient. Because of this, I miss a lot of meals, and then have to binge or do without food. This results in a deficiency of food and nutrients, which I think is taking a toll on my body. My head hurts. I'm experiencing vertigo if I go too long without Soylent. Dry mouth. Everyday is a battle at this point.

Taste and the things that bothered me early in this journey are no problem. The biggest issue is remembering to carry my bottle! And making enough to last me when I am not at home.
This is probably my hardest day so far. The good news, however, is that we are half way finished! It's all downhill from here (hopefully).
Sometime this week, I want to make soylent cookies. There are ways of baking this stuff! That should be nice for variety's sake.
Feelings:
- Low energy
- Vertigo
- Headaches
- Dry Mouth
- Sleepy
Well, It's Been Two Weeks Without Food Now [Soylent Blogrimage 14/30]
I should have eaten more today than I did, but didn't feel very motivated--especially on Pi day. I long for food like pie and hamburgers. Don't get me wrong, I love that I'm doing this challenge, but the desire for delicious food remains.
Happy Pi Day. It's March 14th (3.14) and this is a great day to get pie. That is, unless you are eating Soylent. This is also the 2 week milestone. Tomorrow will be the half-way milestone. Horray.

I wonder what my first meal should be. What do you think?
FEELINGS:
- Wanted to eat Pie on Pi day
- Down 5 pounds total
- Lower Energy
- Eating less than I should
I almost "Soylent" my pants with my Hipster Grandpa in Law [Soylent Blogrimage 13/30]
The people from LIGHTBRIDGE thought it would be pretty funny to use Soylent as a pun. They held back laughs as they chuckled, "Hey Pradeepan, did you Soylent your pants? You know, like soil your pants?" I loved how much they enjoyed saying those words.
At restaurants I tell the server I don't need any food. Perhaps the employee thinks I'm cheap. Perhaps they assume I'm living off of pure nutrients in the form of Soylent these 30 days. Who knows?
In a week or so, I am being ordained at the church I work at. My family is coming into town to celebrate this occasion. We'll have great food and fellowship. I will not eat with them. This is my dedication to this challenge. I hope they aren't offended.

Today, also, Amreitha's father and grandpa drove up from Kansas. I love her grandpa Melvin. He was born Amish and then became Mennonite. He is in his 90s and still works carpentry projects and has a lot of energy. We joked about milking camels today. He dresses like a hipster. I like it.
FEELINGS:
- Really want a burger
- Energy is great
- Clarity is great
- Down another pound
- Breath not as bad
